Key Rehab’s Integrated Rehab Program

We work with you to totally integrate your rehab program with your other departments.  Therapy services include physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology and as appropriate, 5-6-7 days per week.  Using our scheduling system, treatments are provided at the appropriate RUGs level to Part A patients and other short term rehab patients.  All disciplines screen residents within 24 hours of notification of admission to the facility and whenever you tell us of a resident’s functional decline.  There is no charge for screenings or for inservices. 

As the agreement is being developed, we work with you to include components that are important to your rehab department.  We encourage you to use us to assess your department and facility’s rehab needs.  There is no charge for this assessment.  The agreement then identifies the specific services that are included in the overall rate.

The program has a designated Team Leader serving as a department head and close supervision by local Area Supervisors and Regional Supervisors.  This allows for quality therapy planning and provision of services, in addition to time for attendance as requested at meetings and to conduct screenings, inservices, and other non-billable services.  Because of our low overhead, we do not have the extreme productivity expectations.  This allows the therapists, at no additional charge to you, to remain in the facility to develop rapport with the nursing staff, residents and their families, and administration.  In addition, we indemnify denials and we take a very pro-active approach by being involved with all levels of medical reviews.  We have found this to assist in avoiding denials.  As part of our Integrated Program, we also offer our Program Support Services at no additional charge.
